The client asked for the wisteria to fade convincingly from deep violet at the top of the window to near-white at the base, the way the real flower does. We ended up sourcing lavender glass from four different suppliers to get enough tonal range, and no two adjacent petals in the finished window are cut from the same sheet of glass — a level of matching that took three times longer than the leading itself.
