How commissions work
Verre designs, fabricates and installs one-off stained-glass windows. An enquiry submitted through the site is not an automated order — the atelier replies with a consultation date, and a written quotation follows a site visit or a detailed design brief.
Timelines
Published completion times on past commissions are historical reference only. Lead times vary with piece complexity, glass sourcing, and — for ecclesiastical or listed-building work — the relevant approvals process.
Structural glazing
Any commission used as load-bearing or structural glazing is engineered and signed off by a qualified structural glass consultant before fabrication, in addition to our own design and fabrication process.
Ownership of design
Cartoons, working drawings and design concepts remain Verre’s property; a commission conveys the finished, installed window, not the underlying design documents, unless agreed separately in writing.
